Duzong was the Emperor of the Song Dynasty who ruled from 1274 to 1274. During his brief reign, he faced the Mongol invasion led by Kublai Khan. The most significant war that occurred during his tenure was the Second Mongol invasion of the Song Dynasty, which took place from 1274 to 1279. This invasion resulted in the fall of the Southern Song Dynasty and the establishment of the Yuan Dynasty in China. Despite his short reign, Duzong's rule was marked by the intense struggle against the Mongol forces, ultimately leading to the end of the Song Dynasty's reign.
