Chandrakaanta Singha was the king of the Ahom Kingdom, reigning from 1821 to 1822. During his short tenure, the kingdom faced significant challenges, including the First Anglo-Burmese War (1824-1826) and the Moamoria Rebellion (1828-1831). The First Anglo-Burmese War, which occurred after Chandrakaanta Singha's rule, was a major conflict between the British East India Company and the Burmese Empire. The Moamoria Rebellion, on the other hand, took place during his reign and was a peasant uprising against the oppressive policies of the Ahom rulers. Despite his brief rule, Chandrakaanta Singha had to navigate these turbulent times and make crucial decisions to protect his kingdom.
