Krishnadevaraya was the Emperor of the Vijayanagara Empire, reigning from 1509 to 1529. During his tenure, he led the empire to its peak of prosperity and power. One of the most significant wars that took place under his rule was the Battle of Raichur in 1520, where Krishnadevaraya's forces defeated the combined armies of the Sultanates of Bijapur and Ahmednagar. Another notable conflict was the Battle of Diu in 1509, where the Portuguese, supported by the Vijayanagara Empire, defeated the combined forces of the Ottoman Empire, Egypt, and Gujarat. These wars and victories solidified Krishnadevaraya's reputation as a skilled military strategist and a formidable ruler.
