Xuanzong II was the Emperor of the Tang Dynasty, reigning from 848 to 852. During his tenure, the most significant war was the Huigu Rebellion, which occurred from 848 to 851. This rebellion was led by the Uighurs and aimed to overthrow the Tang Dynasty. Despite initial setbacks, Xuanzong II successfully suppressed the rebellion and maintained his rule. Another notable conflict during his reign was the Battle of Talas in 850, where the Tang Dynasty allied with the Abbasid Caliphate against the Uighur Khaganate. Although not directly involved in the battle, Xuanzong II's reign coincided with this important event in Central Asian history.
