Is a landlocked country in Southern Africa. The Swazi people settled in present-day Eswatini around 1745. After the Second Boer War the Kingdom became a British protectorate which lasted until 1968. On 19 April 2018, King Mswati III announced that the country had renamed itself the Kingdom of Eswatini. The new name, Eswatini, means "land of the Swazis" in the Swazi language.
