1. Frankish Partitions

The Frankish Kingdom was partitioned and reuinited several times as the Frankish rulers used to divide their territories equally among their heirs. This lead also to a number of wars and revolts.

1.1. Incoronation of Otto I

East Frankish King Otto I was crowned first Holy Roman Emperor.

2. Further events (Unrelated to Any War)

  • January 1201: The County of Bozen was acquired by the Counts of Tyrol in the early 13th century.
  • January 1240: In 1239 Swiker von Reichenberg sold the Tarasp Lordship to Count Albert III of Tyrol.
  • January 1274: After 1273 the von Matsch family managed the castle and Lordship of Tarasp.

Disestablishment

  • January 1343: The Tirol County is acquired by the Duchy of Bavaria.
