Was one of the many free medieval communes (practically city-states) of Italy. It was located in Emilia-Romagna.

- January 1151: Rimini declares itself Free Commune.

- January 1286: Pesaro is conquered by the Malatesta Dynasty.
Disestablishment
- January 1296: Malatesta da Verrucchio is elected Signore of Rimini. His dynasty will rule on Rimin and part of Romagna until 1500.
