In the 15th century the Tunjur arrived in Darfur, where they established themselves in northern Jebel Marra and created a kingdom.

- January 1451: In the 15th century the Tunjur arrived in Darfur, where they established themselves in northern Jebel Marra and ruled simultaneously with the Daju for some time.

1. Events
- January 1501: The Tunjur Kingdom conquered the Daju Kingdom under unclear circumstances.
- January 1615: Independence of the Sultanate of Dar Sila.
- January 1636: Abd Al Karim takes power against the Tunjours.
Disestablishment
- January 1651: The Tunjur kingdom was succeeded by the Sultanate of Darfur. The Fur people and their Keira dynasty superseded the Tunjur in about 1650s.
