Establishment

• January 884: In 883, a group of Muslims, coming mostly from Sicily (already partly under their control since 827), but also from North Africa, settled in the Garigliano plain, building houses and even a mosque.

1. Traetto´s Expansion

Were a series of incursions by the Muslim settlement of Traetto (France) to expand its territories.

• January 911: Arabs from Traetto settle in Farfa, Nepi, Orte and Narni.
• January 912: Arabs from Traetto leave Farfa, Nepi, Orte and Narni.

2. Further events (Unrelated to Any War)

• September 915: After a three-month siege, the Muslims capitulated, themselves causing the destruction by fire of the colony in August 915.
