- January 621: The Shailodbhava dynasty ruled parts of eastern India during the 6th-8th centuries. The Shailodbhava ruler Madhavaraja II seems to have assumed sovereignty soon after 620 CE.

Disestablishment
- January 776: The Shailodbhava Dynasty declined in the 8th century, and their territory came under the Bhauma-Kara rule. By the last quarter of the 8th century, the Bhauma-Karas had gained control of the former Shailodbhava territory.
