The Saladoid culture was a pre-Columbian indigenous culture of territory in present-day Venezuela and the Caribbean.

Establishment

  • January 199 BC: The Arawak-speaking Saladoid (or Igneri) people, thought to have originated in modern-day Venezuela, arrived in Vieques perhaps around 200 BC (estimates vary).
