Establishment

• January 601: The Kalachuris of Mahishmati took control of Vidarbha in 600, succeeding the Vakataka and Vishnukundina dynasties. The Kalachuris were a powerful dynasty that ruled over central India during this time period.
• January 601: The Panduvamshis of Mekala wer an Indian dynasty that ruled the historical Mekala region in present-day Chhattisgarh state of India, during the 6th and the 7th centuries. The early rulers of Mekala may have been feudatories of the Guptas or the Vakatakas.
• January 601: The Parvatadvarakas succeeded the Rajarsitulyakula dynasty in the Tel river valley in the Indian state of Orrisa in the 6th century AD.

1. Events

• May 606: After the fall of the Gupta Empire in the mid-6th century AD, northern India had again fallen apart into small republics and monarchies. Harsha of the Pushyabhuti Dynasty united the small republics from Punjab to central India and was crowned king in April 606.

Disestablishment

• January 651: After 650 the Parvatadvaraka Dynasty ceases to be mentioned in sources and thus probably disappeared.
