Was a polity controlling the Pacific island of Samoa that emerged in 1250 after becoming independent from Tonga. The Samoan Civil War led to the division of Samoa betwen the United States and Germany.

1. Second Samoan Civil War
Was a civil war in Samoa with the involvement of the western countries that resulted in the partition of the archipleago between Germany and the United States of America.
- March 1899: Apia is besieged by British and American forces.
- March 1899: At the end of March, a joint expedition of British, U.S., and Samoan forces marched along the coast from Apia towards Vailele.
- April 1899: The Second Battle of Vailele in 1899 was a defeat for the expeditionary forces led by German Admiral Otto von Diederichs and Samoan chief Mata'afa Iosefo. They retreated back to Apia, which was the capital of German Samoa at the time.

Was a convention that ended the Second Samoan Civil War with the partition of the Samoan Islands into American Samoa and German Samoa.
- February 1900: The Second Samoan Civil War was ended by the Tripartite Convention of 1899, which divided the Samoan Islands into American Samoa and German Samoa.
