After the Battle of Danki it fragmented in several successor states. The rump state of the Empire was known as the Kingdom of Jolof thereafter. It survived additional three centuries before being conquered by the Imamate of Futa Jallon.

Establishment

  • January 1550: After the Battle of Danki were the forces of the Jolof Empire were defeated by the rebellious vassal of Cayor, the Empire disintegrated and was reduced to a Rump state.
