Was a small kingdom based in the city of Cusco, on the Andean mountain ranges that began as a small city-state founded by the Incas around the start of 13th century.
Establishment
- January 1402: Under the leadership of Manco Cápac, the Inca formed the small city-state Kingdom of Cusco.

Disestablishment
- January 1439: In 1438, the Incas began a far-reaching expansion under the command of Sapa Inca (paramount leader) Pachacuti-Cusi Yupanqui, whose name literally meant "earth-shaker". The name of Pachacuti was given to him after he conquered the Tribe of Chancas (modern Apurímac).
