An ancient Indian Rajput dynasty which ruled the Chota Nagpur plateau region (modern-day Jharkhand).
Establishment
- January 84: The Kushan Dynasty, led by the Nagvanshis of Chotanagpur, ruled the Chota Nagpur plateau region in 83 AD. The Nagvanshis were a prominent Rajput clan.

1. Military campaigns of Yashodharman
Were a series of military campaigns by Yashodharman, ruler of the Second Aulikara dynasty, that resulted in the conquest (albeit short-lived) of most of the Indian Subcontinent.
- January 531: Yashodharman conquered much of the Indian subcontinent between c. 530-540 CE according to Mandsaur pillar inscription.
- January 541: Yashodharman's short-lived empire disintegrated between 530 and 540 CE.

In the VIII century Muktapida, an Indian king of the Karkota dynasty of Kashmir, created a short-lived empire covering most of India.
- January 741: Karkota ruler Lalitaditya Muktapida conquered extensive territories in India and Central Asia.

3. Conquests of Akbar the Great
Expansion during the rule of Akbar the Great in the Mughal Empire.
- January 1586: In 1585, there was mughal invasion of the Nagvanshis of Chotanagpur during reign of Raja Madhu Singh. He became a tributary to the Mughals.

- January 801: In 800, the Bhauma-Kara dynasty, ruled by King Janakaraja, expanded their territory by conquering neighboring regions in present-day Odisha, India.
- January 1051: Rajendra Chola I conquered Odisha.
- February 1051: Rajendra Chola I occupied Odisha, but left the region after defeating the forces of the Pala Dynasty.
- January 1098: The Simroun, Karnat or Dev dynasty originated with an establishment of a kingdom in 1097 CE headquartered at present day Simroungarh in Bara district. The kingdom controlled the areas today known as Tirhoot or Mithila in Nepal and Bihar of India.
- January 1494: In 1493, Sambalpur State was established by Balaram Deo, a Rajput from the Chauhan dynasty and the younger brother of Raja Narsingh Deo, the ruler of the kingdom of Patna. The territory of Sambalpur State expanded during this time.
