Establishment
January 1051: The first modern recorded mention of the state of Kangra is from the 11th century AD. The Katoch dynasty are reputed to have ruled the town of Kangra and its vicinity since time immemorial.

1.1.Invasions of India
The Mongol Empire launched several invasions into the Indian subcontinent from 1221 to 1327.
January 1298: In the winter of 1297, the Chagatai noyan Kadar led an army that ravaged the Punjab region, and advanced as far as Kasur.
February 1298: After being defeated by the Delhi Sultanate in the Battle of Jaran-Manjur, the Chagatai army left Punjab.
Was a large scale military conflict in 1809 between the forces of the Kingdom of Nepal under Amar Singh Thapa and the Sikh Empire under general Dewan Mokham Chand.
January 1808: In 1807, Kangra Fort, located in present-day Himachal Pradesh, India, was put under siege by the Gurkha army of Nepal led by General Amar Singh Thapa. The fort was eventually captured, leading to the territory coming under Nepalese military occupation.
April 1809: By early 1809, most of the land of Kangra jagir had been incorporated into Nepal.
August 1809: Maharaja Ranjit Singh dispatched a force led by General Amar Singh Thapa to raise the siege of Kangra from the Gurkha forces in 1809.

January 1811: Kangra State was extinguished and annexed by Sikh Empire in 1810.
January 1171: According to legend, Jaswan state was founded in 1170 by Raja Purab Chand from the Kangra Royal Family.
January 1416: The kingdom was founded in 1415 by Raja Hari Chand, a scion of the ancient royal family of Kangra.
January 1621: The fort of Kangra resisted Akbar's siege. Akbar's son Jahangir successfully subdued the fort in 1620 annexing the surrounding area and reducing the Katoch rajas to the status of vassals.
January 1790: The Katoch Kings repeatedly looted Mughal controlled regions, weakening the Mughal control, aiding in the decline of Mughal power, Raja Sansar Chand II succeeded in recovering the ancient fort of his ancestors, in 1789.
January 1802: The formal start of the Sikh Empire began with the unification of the Misls (states) by 1801, creating a unified political state.
January 1807: Nepalese invasion of Kangra.
January 1807: Nepalese invasion of Bilaspur.
Disestablishment
January 1811: Kangra State was extinguished and annexed by Sikh Empire in 1810.
