Is a socialist state in the Indochinese Peninsula. Laos gained its independency from France as the Kingdom of laos in 1953. After the Laotian Civil War the Lao People's Democratic Republic succeeded to the Kingdom in 1975.

Establishment

  • December 1975: The Pathet Lao would eventually emerge victorious in the Laotian Civil War and establish the Lao People's Democratic Republic in 1975.
