Establishment
- January 481: The Kingdom of the Aures was founded in 480 by King Masties after a series of Berber revolts against the Vandal Kingdom.

1. Independence of Roman centers in Dalmatia

Disestablishment
- January 704: The Kingdom of the Aures was independent until the Umayyad conquest of North Africa in 703, when the last monarch, Queen Kahina, was killed in battle.
