Jaipur's predecessor state was the kingdom of Dhundhar or Dausa, founded in 1093 by Dullah Rai, also known as Dulha Rao.

1. Events

  • January 1151: The junior branch of he Guhila ruled from Sesoda with the title Rana, and gave rise to the Sisodia Rajput dynasty.
  • January 1216: Balhana, the son of Govindaraja, is recorded as a vassal of the Delhi Sultan Iltumish in 1215 CE, but declared independence in the later years.
  • January 1227: Foundation of the Jodhpur Kingdom, also known as Kingdom of Marwar.

Disestablishment

  • January 1351: The state was known as Amber between the fourteenth century and 1727.
