Establishment

  • January 901: The Chandra dynasty ruled in southeastern Bengal ( Vanga and Samatata ) for a century and a half between the beginning of the 10th century and the middle of the 11th century.

Disestablishment

  • January 1050: Govindachandra was the last known king of the Chandra dynasty. The Chandras were overthrown during an invasion of the South Indian Chola dynasty.
