Establishment

January 1791: The territory of Limmu-Ennarea was annexed by Emperor Tekle Giyorgis I of Ethiopia in 1790. Limmu-Ennarea was one of the kingdoms in the Gibe region that emerged in the 19th century, known for its strategic location and trade routes.
