Was a precolonial country of West Africa. It was madae a Protectorate by the French in 1858 and was later added to Senegal.
Establishment
- January 1651: The foundation of the Toucouleur kingdom of Boundou dates back to the middle of the 17th century.

- January 1682: In 1681, the territory shown on the map was under the rule of the Kingdom of Khasso.
- January 1855: FromĀ 1854, French colonial administrator Faidherbe started to establish a series of inland forts up theĀ Senegal River.
