Establishment

January 1451: The Kingdom of Karagwe is founded by Ruhinda I.
January 1451: The Kingdom of Karagwe, also known as Bunyambo, is said to have been founded around 1450 by Ruhinda I.

January 1701: Kyamutwara was incorporated into the Kingdom of Karagwe during the reign of Ruhinda I, a prominent ruler in the region during the 18th century.
January 1736: In 1735, the Bugufi chiefdom, located in present-day Burundi, was ruled by a chief named Bugufi. The territory was later annexed by the Kingdom of Burundi under the leadership of King Mwami Mwezi IV.
January 1801: Establishment of West Ussuwi in Tanganyka.
January 1801: Establishment of Kiziba in Tanganyka.
January 1851: In 1850, Buhimba split from Buzinja (Bukura).
January 1854: Establishment of the Kingdom of East Ussuwi as a split from the Kingdom of Buzinja (Buzinza).
July 1890: By 1st july 1890 Germany controlled all of Tanganyka (the continental part of modern-day Tanzania), Burundi and Rwanda as with the Heligoland-Zanzibar Treaty the treaty with the East Africa Protectorate controlled by Britain was fixed.
