Was a medieval Signoria in Italy. It was located in Emilia-Romagna.

Establishment

  • January 1471: From 1449 to 1470 Forlimpopoli was under the dominion of the Malatesta family, to then pass to that of the Ordelaffi.

1. Events

  • January 1505: With the death of Antonio Ordelaffi, in 1504, and the extinction of the family, Forlimpopoli was granted by the Pope as vicariate first to the Rangoni, then to the Zampeschi.

Disestablishment

  • January 1579: Forlimpopoli returned under the direct control of the Pope who would keep it until the arrival of the French troops at the end of the eighteenth century.
