The Odrysian Kingdom, the largest political entity in the Balkans, was divided among three competing kings after the death of King Cotys: Cersebleptes, Amadocus, and Berisades.
Establishment
- January 358 BC: Berisades controlled the western part from Maroneia in the east to the Styrmon in the west.

1. Wars of the Rise of Macedon
Expansion of Macedonia under King Philip II.
- January 355 BC: In 356 BC Philip of Macedon campaigned in Thrace, capturing the town of Krinides.
- January 354 BC: Philip II defeated the Odrysiand and reduced them to the status of a subject ally.
2. Social War (357-355)
Was a war between the Second Athenian League and the allied city-states of Chios, Rhodes, Cos and Byzantion.
- January 355 BC: In 356 BC, Philip II of Macedon took the city of Crenides, refounding it as Philippi.
Disestablishment
- January 354 BC: Philip II defeated the Odrysiand and reduced them to the status of a subject ally.
