January 1651: The Kingdom of Mpororo was founded in 1650 by King Ruhinda, who established his rule over Southwest Uganda, including Rukungiri and Kitwe. The kingdom played a significant role in the region's history and culture.
January 1701: The Kingdom of Buddu is established.
January 1721: The Kingdom of Kooki was founded in 1720 by two princes of Bunyoro, Bwowe and Kitayimbwa, after the death of their father Isansa Gabigogo, the 15th King of Bunyoro Kitara.
January 1801: Establishment of the Kingdom of Kiga.
October 1901: The Kingdom of Nkore was incorporated into the British Protectorate of Uganda by the signing of the Ankole agreement.
