The Venad Kingdom in Keral was a vassal of the Vijayanagara Empire in the period 1444-1500.
Establishment
- January 1444: Deva Raya II (1424-1446 AD), king of the Vijayanagara Empire, conquered the whole of present-day Kerala state in the 15th century. He defeated (1443) rulers of Venadu (Kollam, Quilon), as well as Kozhikode.

Disestablishment
- January 1501: As the Vijayanagara power declined, the Samoothiri regained influence in the region of Venad Kingdom,
