Was a sultanate in the Hadhramaut region of the southern Arabian Peninsula, in what is now part of Yemen and the Dhofari region of Oman.
Establishment
- January 1396: The Kathiri State was established in 1395 by Badr as-Sahab ibn al-Habrali Bu Tuwairik.

1. Events
- January 1471: The Kathiri conquered Ash-Shihr in the 1460s.
- January 1609: In 1608, Imam al-Mansur, the leader of the Zaidi Imamate in Yemen, regained control over the highlands and signed a 10-year truce with the Ottomans, who had been attempting to expand their influence in the region.
- January 1859: In the period 1858-1888 Qu'aiti Sultanate was an independent state.
Disestablishment
- January 1889: Kathiri becomes a British Protectorate.
