The Kanva dynasty or Kanvayana was a dynasty that overthrew the Shunga dynasty in parts of eastern and central India.
Establishment
- January 74 BC: The last king of Sungas, Devabhuti, was assassinated by his minister Vasudeva Kanva, who then established Kanva dynasty.

1. Events
- January 49 BC: The Yuga Purana describes an invasion of Pataliputra by the Scythians, led by the Indo-Scythian King Azes I, in -50. Pataliputra was the capital of the Maurya Empire at the time, ruled by King Vikramaditya.
Disestablishment
- January 29 BC: Their dynasty was brought to an end by the Satavahanas.
