Establishment
- January 1101: Brescia was proclaimed autonomous municipality already in the XII century.

1. Events
- January 1259: Ezzelino III managed to take possession of Brescia in 1258.
- January 1260: In 1259 the domination of Ezzelino da Romano ended and Brescia became a free commune.
- January 1266: Brescia passed under the control of the Della Torre of Milan.
- January 1282: In 1269, Brescia submitted to Charles of Anjou, and returned free and independent in 1281.
Disestablishment
- January 1314: In 1313 Brescia made an act of dedication to the nascent Visconti lordship of Milan.
