Was a small landgraviate and then a duchy west of Brussels, consisting of the area between the Dender and Zenne rivers in the Low Countries, then part of the Holy Roman Empire.

Establishment

  • January 1086: The Landgraviate of Brabant is partitioned from Lower Lotharingia.
