The Eritrean-Ethiopian Federation was a coalition between the former Italian colony of Eritrea and the Ethiopian Empire. It was established as a result of the renunciation of Italy’s rights and titles to territorial possessions in Africa.

- February 1955: The remaining British control over Haud was relinquished in 1955.
- November 1962: Following pressure from Haile Selassie I on the Assembly of Eritrea, the Federation was officially dissolved and Eritrea annexed by Ethiopia.
