Was a Fulbe emirate in northern Burkina Faso.

Establishment

  • January 1811: The emirate was founded in 1810 after a war with the Gourmantché by Ibrahim bi Sadyu in the west of the Sokoto Empire with the capital in Dori.

Disestablishment

  • January 1896: In 1895 Boubacar Sori, Emir of Liptako, signed a French protectorate treaty with Captain Georges Destenave.
