It was on of the Four Great Native Chiefdom in Guizhou, China. As all Chiefdoms of Guizhou, it fell under Chinese domination and was finally absorbed by China.

Establishment

  • January 583: Tian Zongxian was recognized as the hereditary ruler of the region by the Sui court in 582.

1. Events

  • January 801: Between 300 and 800, the Mu'ege kingdom expanded southeast to the city of Duyun, covering half of modern Guizhou Province.
  • February 939: The rebel Annamese forces, led by Ngô Quyền defeated the invading forces of the Southern Han state of China and put an end to centuries of Chinese imperial domination in Vietnam. The Ngô Dynasty (939-965), founded by Ngô Quyền, was the first Vietnamese dynasty after the Third Chinese domination of Vietnam.

Disestablishment

  • January 1108: In 1107, Sizhou chieftain Tian Yougong acquiesced Song dynasty's overlordship.
