Was a kingdom that originated in Nigeria during the Fula Jihads, a series of jihads that occurred across West Africa during the 18th and 19th centuries, led largely by the Muslim Fula people.

Establishment

  • January 1810: Adamawa, a Fulbe jihad state, founded.

  • January 1837: N'Gaoundere lamidat founded.
  • March 1899: On March 11, Tibati was stormed by German forces.
  • October 1901: Adamawa is partitioned between German Kamerun and British Northern Nigeria Protectorate.
