1. Coto War
Was a conflict between Panama and Costa Rica over territorial disputes.
- March 1921: Panama was forced by the United States to accept the White ruling and to cede the Coto region to Costa Rica.
- January 1922: An expeditionary force led by Colonel Héctor Zúñiga Mora occupying on behalf of Costa Rica the town of Pueblo Nuevo de Coto.
2. Further events (Unrelated to Any War)
- January 1850: Until 1849, when it became part of Panama, Chiriquí was part of Costa Rica.
