Was a revolt of Lombard dukes against their king Agilulf.

  • January 590: Some dukes, especially among those who had deserted the Lombard camp in 590 to join the Franks and Byzantines, did not immediately accept him as king, and Agilulf was forced to win his loyalty with arms. The rebellion of some dukes, among which Gaidulfo of Bergamo stood out, lasted until 594, when Agilulf defeated and condemned many of the rebel dukes to the gallows as traitors.
