1. First Ottoman Palace Coup
Was a coup d'etat in the Ottoman Empire. On May 29, 1807, Selim was deposed by Janissaries led by the rebel leader Kabakçı Mustafa and quickly replaced by his cousin Mustafa IV.

3. Third Ottoman Palace Coup
Was a coup d'etat in the Ottoman Empire.
- December 1808: Mustafa IV was executed to discourage a new attempt at revolt by the reactionary current (the Janissaries) but this then resolved to strike the new leader of the reformers.
