  • January 1826: 1826-1837: In 1826, Muhammad Pasha of Rowanduz, a Kurdish notable, declared the Kurdish regions of Mosul, Mardin and Jezirah-ibn-Omar independent of Ottoman rule. During his revolt, which lasted until 1837, Muhammad Pasha established contacts with Ibrahim Pasha.
