An unsuccessful Nara period rebellion against the Japanese State led by Fujiwara no Hirotsugu in the Japanese islands, in the year 740. Hirotsugu, dissatisfied with the political powers, raised an army in Dazaifu, Kyushu but was defeated by government forces.
