- October 1921: 21 October - 6 November 1921. This time Charles returned to Hungary at the head of a contingent of soldiers loyal to his cause and marched on Budapest. However, having reached the outskirts of the capital, Charles had to confront the armed groups hastily assembled by Horthy and his followers, who managed to defeat the forces loyal to him, also thanks to the betrayal of General Pál Hegedüs who commanded them.
